Dax & Bo DIY Decor Co. was born from one simple thought: Why buy everything for just one day?
Watching friends and family plan weddings — and now helping decorate my sister’s — I kept noticing the same cycle. Hours and dollars spent gathering all the little details — votives, signs, table numbers, centerpiece fillers... all the finishing touches that make a celebration feel personal and beautiful.
And then? The day ends, and suddenly everyone’s staring at bins of decor wondering, “What do we do with all this?”
Cue the classic Facebook listing: “Only used once!” — hoping to get back a fraction of what was spent.

I saw it happen again and again — even during my own boys’ themed birthday parties. So much love and effort went into making those moments memorable… like my oldest son’s Winnie the Pooh first birthday, complete with a personalized Hundred Acre Wood sign and every detail thought through — only to have all that décor sit unused afterward.
I’ve always loved making events feel thoughtful — sometimes a bit too thoughtful. But I also believe you shouldn’t have to buy (and store... and try to resell) a garage full of decor to get that feeling.
That’s when I realized how much easier it could be if affordable event decor rentals were available right here in Minnesota.

Behind the Name
Dax & Bo is named after my two boys — the heart behind every themed birthday party, every detail I care about, and the reason I believe every milestone deserves to feel special.
This business is rooted in that same joy and intention I bring to their celebrations — and now, to yours.

I’m not a full-service planner or designer — just someone who genuinely loves helping people pull a look together.
With personalized decor rentals, local pickup or delivery, and transparent pricing, I make event styling simple and affordable.
Because it’s all about your vision, I focus on providing the essential decor pieces to make your event feel special—without the extra cost or clutter of buying it yourself. That means I don’t provide floral arrangements, event setup, or takedown services—helping keep things cost-effective and giving you the freedom to really do it your way.

I’m Erika — thoughtful planner, theme-party mom, and unofficial family event coordinator. I started Dax & Bo to give people more freedom, fewer regrets, and a way to create beautiful moments without buying a garage full of stuff.
I’ve always been about working smarter, not harder — especially when it means saving money without compromising the vision. And as someone who’d rather plan a party than attend one, this business just made sense.
