Dax & Bo DIY Decor Co. was born from one simple thought: Why buy everything for just one day?
As I watched friends and family plan weddings — and helped decorate my sister’s — I kept noticing the same cycle. Hours and dollars spent gathering all the little details: votives, signs, table numbers, centerpiece fillers. The finishing touches that make a celebration feel personal and complete.
And then the day ends.
Suddenly, there are bins of decor stacked in basements and garages, followed by the familiar Facebook post: “Only used once!” — hoping to recover even a fraction of what was spent.

I saw it again and again — even while planning themed birthday parties for my own boys. For my oldest son’s Winnie the Pooh first birthday, every detail was thoughtfully planned. The day was meaningful and memorable — and nearly five years later, most of that decor still sits in a storage tub in my basement.
I’ve always loved making events feel intentional. But I don’t believe you should have to buy, store, and try to resell a garage full of decor to create something beautiful.
That realization became Dax & Bo.

Dax & Bo is named after my two boys — the heart behind every themed birthday party, every detail I care about, and the reason I believe every milestone deserves to feel special.
This business is rooted in that same joy and intention I bring to their celebrations — and now, to yours.

To keep things simple and cost-effective, I don’t offer floral design, on-site setup, or teardown services. Instead, I focus on making the decor itself easy to use, easy to return, and easy to love.

I started Dax & Bo to give people more freedom, fewer regrets, and a way to create meaningful moments without buying a garage full of stuff. I’ve always believed in working smarter, not harder — especially when it means saving money without compromising the vision.
And as someone who would rather plan a party than attend one, this business just made sense.
