Dax & Bo DIY Decor Co. was built on one simple thought: Why buy everything for one day?

While watching friends and family plan weddings — and now decorating my sister’s — I started noticing a familiar cycle. They’d spend so much time and money gathering all the little things — votives, signs, table numbers, centerpiece fillers... all the finishing touches that make an event feel personal and beautiful.

And then? The day would end, and they'd be left staring at bins of decor asking, “What do we do with all this?”

Cue the classic Facebook listing: “Only used once!” — and the scramble to get back just a little of what was spent.

I saw it happen again and again — even during my own themed birthday parties for my boys. So much effort went into creating something memorable… and so much was left behind.

It just didn’t sit right.

I’ve always loved making events feel thoughtful — the kind where every detail reflects the people being celebrated. But I also believe you shouldn’t have to buy (and store... and try to resell) a garage full of decor to get that feeling.

So I created a better option.

I wanted this business to reflect more than just the decor — it needed to reflect why I do this, too.

This business is rooted in the same kind of joy and intention I try to bring to their milestones — and now, to yours.
